Lead Porch, Rolvenden
This job was part of a full facia redecoration job on a friends beautiful white weather boarded property, in Rolvenden, Kent. They had decided that the existing lead porch was looking tatty and not enhancing the look of the property. I was asked to replace the leadwork on the porch.
After stripping back the old lead, I discovered that the wood decking was intact and fine to work with, so proceeded to fit the new lead. I survey each job to ensure that the right type of lead roofing work is always quoted for and put into practice.
After assessing the weather boarding, I decided it was best to fit the lead over the top and seal with lead mastic. This was due to the fact the weatherboard would of been nearly impossible to replace and refit on this old property. I then started forming the lead bays on the bench, ready to be fitted. The images below show me adding the finishing touches to the lead porch. When finished, it looked great with the newly refreshed look of the property.
